Teaching Assistant – SEN Support (Full-Time, Temp-to-Perm)

Location: Bolton
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Perm Potential
Working Hours:

  • Monday: 8:30am – 4:20pm
  • Tuesday: 8:30am – 4:20pm
  • Wednesday: 8:30am – 5:00pm (Training Evening)
  • Thursday: 8:30am – 4:20pm
  • Friday: 8:30am – 2:30pm

Are you a passionate and proactive Teaching Assistant with a full UK driving licence?
Teaching Personnel is urgently seeking a dedicated and flexible individual to support students with additional needs at a welcoming specialist provision in Bolton.

This role involves both classroom-based support and off-site activities, so confidence in driving and a willingness to engage in day trips is essential.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN
  • Drive students to off-site educational and therapeutic sessions
  • Promote independence and engagement through tailored support
  • Assist in behaviour management aligned with school policies
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and external agencies
  • Prepare learning materials and resources
  • Support emotional well-being and social development
  • Attend weekly staff training on Wednesday evenings

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence and confidence driving students off-site
  • Experience working with young people, ideally with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive, proactive attitude and team spirit

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
