Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with complex needs? A specialist SEN school in Rochdale is looking for a committed and resilient TA to join their team immediately.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment where every day makes a difference. The role involves working closely with pupils who have a range of needs including autism, severe learning difficulties, and physical disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex SEN
- Assist with personal care and mobility needs where required
- Support the class teacher in delivering tailored learning plans
- Use communication tools such as PECS, Makaton, or AAC (training can be provided)
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with complex SEN needs
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, Health & Social Care) desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
