SEN Teacher

We are seeking a qualified teacher to work in one of our SEN Secondary Schools in Manchester area. You will play a vital role to providing education to young people who have a variety of needs such as

• Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Severe and Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (SLD/PMLD)
• Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
• Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
• Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD)
• Visual and Hearing Impairments (VI/HI)
• Physical and Multi-Sensory Impairments (PD/MSI)

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons for pupils with diverse learning profiles
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and SENCOs
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
• Support pupils’ emotional well-being and social development
• Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working with SEN pupils is highly desirable
• Must hold a valid Child & Adult Workforce DBS
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A nurturing, patient, and flexible approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
