Maths Graduate Teaching assistant

  • Part time Maths teaching assistant post- starting in September
  • Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups in Maths
  • Get paid up to £65+ a day dependant on experience

A school located in Oldham is currently seeking a Maths graduate to join their department as a Maths Teaching Assistant. This is a part time temporary Maths Teaching Assistant post starting in September.

The incoming Maths teaching assistant will be supporting identified students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to improve their attainment. You will be responsible for building report with the students to keep them motivated and engaged, this will allow you to develop an understanding of the methods used to support student learning prior to starting a teacher training programme.

• Part time Maths teaching assistant post (28 Hours)

• Work in an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary school

• Join a supportive Maths department with a focus on professional development

• Get paid whilst gaining experience prior to starting a teacher training course

Our client secondary school is a larger than average 11-18 mixed academy, situated a short walk distance from the centre of Oldham near Broadway Road. The school is easily accessible via the A627 and has a variety of public transport links close to the school. This is an oversubscribed secondary school due to their strong attainment and progress and has been recently refurbished to cope with the high demands of the local community.
