Teacher of Maths required for an 'Outstanding' Catholic High School in Liverpool (6 month contract)

  • Pay negotiable depending on experience (M1, £22,467-UPS3, £38,250)

An 'Outstanding' Catholic High School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hard-working and passionate Maths Teacher for a 6 month fixed term contract covering a planned absence in their Maths department.

The School:

The school is an 'Outstanding' Catholic Comprehensive School situated in Thornton, Merseyside and caters for pupils aged 11-18. The school is one of the highest performing in the local area and is well known for its very high academic standards. The pupil progress is well above local and national averages; 72% of students achieved A*-C grades in Maths in 2016 and 75% of students achieved grade A*-C in English.

The Role:

This role is a planned absence to commence after the February half-term lasting 6 months. The incoming Maths Teacher will be expected to deliver engaging lessons across KS3 & KS4 including to GCSE level. There will be allocated PPA time and you become part of a close-knot, warm, welcoming department with a track record of success. UK QTS, up to date and valid references along with recent experience of delivering to GCSE level in a mainstream high school is essential for this role.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
