Role: Learning Mentor

Location: Knowle

Salary: GBP57 - 65 per day

Teaching Personnel has a long-standing relationship with a fantastic school in the Knowle area that is requiring a learning mentor to support in KS2, particularly in years 5 and 6 on the lead up to SATS. This school requires a learning mentor who can confidently support in KS2 particularly in leading interventions sessions to help raise levels of attainment.

As a learning mentor this role will be varied as you will be working in different classes, in small group sessions and with individual students who are particularly struggling. The ideal candidate will be confident with all aspects of the KS2 curriculum but needs to be particularly confident in maths and english. Some of the classes you will be supporting can be hyperactive; therefore the ideal learning mentor would need to have good behaviour management  or any experience with young people who might be quite challenging would be ideal. This role will involve supporting all lessons as well as leading small group sessions for students who may be falling behind expected levels and require booster sessions.
