KS3/KS4 Transition Teacher

Start: September 2021

Salary: MPR/UPR

The Basingstoke based secondary school are seeking a Primary trained Teacher to aid the transition of pupils in September 2021 from KS2 in to KS3.  This an exciting new position which aims to bridge the gap between primary and secondary school to support the progress of Year 7 pupils by giving them a ‘flying start’ to secondary education.

The successful candidate will have a positive outlook and proactive attitude, to enrich the lives of the learners and staff whom they work with.  This role would suit a KS2 teacher with experience in Year 5 and Year 6 teaching, who can work with Year 7 and Year 8 pupils on a one to one and small group basis, to help ensure the smooth transition from Primary School to Secondary, and close attainment for learners that have reached Level 4, and those who have not.

Ideally you will:

  • Have QTS, can consider OTT
  • Have Experience working with children with SEN
  • Be nurturing and able to create a calm learning environment
  • Be creative, resourceful adaptable to ensure all pupils achieve their potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
