KS1 Year 1 & 2 Teaching Assistants in Kidbrooke (Greenwich)

We are recruiting for 2 personable and ambitious individuals who are looking to work in a Year 1 and Year 2 class. The role is within a 2-form entry Primary School in Kidbrooke which was rated 'Good' by Ofsted 2016. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who would like to support pupils with their educational, social and emotional needs. Suitable candidates must be able to show that they are nurturing and creative with a professional working manner. The ideal candidate should be educated to a degree level, have experience working with children or have obtained the right qualifications.

Ideal Teaching Assistant Candidates need:

  • A childhood related degree (i.e. education, psychology, social care, criminology)
  • Prior experience working with Children ( 6 months - 1 year)
  • Any additional relevant teaching training or qualification will be a bonus (CACHE Level 3, Team Teach, Phonics etc.)
  • Must have a passion in helping the development of children
  • Be available to work full-time Monday - Friday
  • Able to exercise patience and encourage pupils
  • Valid DBS or willing to apply for one

The successful candidate will aid the teacher by supporting with all classroom activities for a group of 31 students. This is a Teaching Assistant role which involves working 1:1 with pupils with ASC focusing on their behaviour in and outside the classroom. You therefore must be confident and comfortable in supporting children with Special Education Needs.

We offer competitive rates of £240 - £350 p/w
