Key Stage 4 Teacher – Functional Skills
Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Salary: £31,650 – £43,606 per annum (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Are you a passionate and dedicated educator looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners? A well-established education provider in Chorley is seeking an experienced Key Stage 4 Teacher to deliver Functional Skills in a supportive and nurturing environment.
This role offers the opportunity to work with small class groups, allowing for more focused, tailored teaching that supports the individual needs of each student.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Functional Skills lessons to Key Stage 4 pupils.
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the wider pastoral care of the students.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- PGCE qualification.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 4.
- Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to safeguarding.
- Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire pupils with additional learning needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
