Our client, a coeducational secondary school in Darwen, is seeking a committed and inspiring Teacher of Mathematics to join their dynamic department. This is an exciting opportunity for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) to teach across Key Stages, with the potential to deliver A-Level Mathematics at Key Stage 5.
This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator dedicated to motivating students, building their mathematical confidence, and nurturing a lasting enthusiasm for the subject. If you're eager to make a meaningful difference through outstanding teaching, our client would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3–5

Engage and inspire students through innovative teaching strategies

Monitor student progress and provide targeted support to ensure achievement

Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all learners feel valued

Contribute to department planning and collaborative teaching initiatives
Ideal Candidate:
-
Passion for mathematics and for teaching young people
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or expected QTS by September 2025

Strong subject knowledge of the mathematics curriculum
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
A collaborative, solutions-focused approach

Eagerness to teach A-Level Mathematics and develop professionally
