Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Primary School in Accrington BB5 who are in need of an experienced Teaching Assistant to work full time in the Reception class. The school is well known in the area and sets high standards for learning. The Head teacher has expressed that she is looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant who has the ability to support Reading and Writing activities, be confident delivering continuous provision & have experience supporting children who are new to the school environment.
The successful practitioner must be dedicated and passionate, who has a nurturing personality and who will help the class make positive attainment ready for their transition to KS1 & to guide them through there first steps in education. The position is to start September 2019, and after unexpected leave of absence. The role is on a temporary basis with the potential to become permanent.
You will need to acquire;
- Experience in EYFS or School environment
- Available for full time work
- Enthusiastic and passionate about the Early Years Sector
- Level 2 qualified or above
- Core Subject Knowledge of Maths and English
- Good behaviour management skills
- Experience of delivering Phonics
- Experience supporting children who aren't
The salary is based on a 6.5 hour position held in the mornings, Monday to Friday, and depending on experience, this could vary between £9.50 - £10.50 per hour.
