Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants for a SEND School based in Blyth, experienced in supporting students with a range of special educational needs. There are multiple posts in Early Years and Key Stage 1 available, all to commence in September. There are full and part time roles available, all with the possibility of a permanent contract for the right candidates.

Ideally applicants would have experience with ASC and severe learning difficulties (SLD) in a SEN school setting from Nursery- Year 2. Additional qualifications such as Team Teach and Moving & Handling is desired but not mandatory.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 3 months experience supporting students with ASC and SLD in a mainstream or SEN setting from Nursery - KS1
  • Experience with Moving & Handling or Personal Care
  • NCFE/CACHE Level 2 Supporting and Learning in Schools
  • Patient and nurturing manner

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
