EAL specialist teaching assistant - full time - Hounslow - Starting following the Easter holidays - salary negotiable!

At Teaching Personnel we are currently recruiting for a full time teaching assistant to support the development of students with English as an additional language. This will include conducting activities and specialist sessions to provide tailored support for each student.

The role?

This full time position will include conducting group and one to one support sessions, adapting activities to different abilities. The main focus of the role will be to create a positive learning environment for all students to thrive and grow, whilst feeling comfortable within the school. You will be working closely with the EAL lead to create opportunities for students from a variety of backgrounds, including providing clear feedback and communication to all areas of the students lives e.g. parents and carers. As a member of the EAL team you will work with classes across all year groups, providing intervention sessions for students from EYFS to KS2.

The large three form entry school has created a learning environment that encourages all students to work at their own pace, focusing on personal development in all areas. This includes supporting students to focus on their individual interests and talents. With the recent changes in their senior leadership team they have utilised the importance of gradual changes and feedback. Allowing all staff to reflect and be open with their thoughts, feelings and suggestions. 

The school is located in Hounslow, connected by multiple bus and train services. It is located a 20 minute walk from Hounslow West station. 

Ideal candidate?

- Confident working with students from a variety of backgrounds

- Able to communicate effectively with students with english as an additional language 

- Experienced leading groups and intervention sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later
