Drama Teacher

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of diverse secondary school in the Gorton area for a vibrant, exciting drama teacher. It’s a permeant position beginning at the start of the next academic year. The role has come about due to a long tenured member of staff retiring in May leaving a gap in the department.

The school is located in Gorton, with excellent on-site parking and public transport links it’s easily accessible from surrounding areas Tameside, Manchester City Centre and Levenshulme. The school is deeply ingrained in the local community, regularly carrying out fundraising events and charity hauls to improve the area, this has cultivated a real family feel within the school.

The role itself will be teaching a drama timetable in line with the national curriculum with general teaching duties including lesson planning, marking and parents’ evenings. You will be joining a highly supportive humanities department.

The ideal candidate must hold QTS and both NQT’s and experienced teachers should apply for this position. The school is looking for someone with a strong, vibrant personality to help engage students and foster a love for the subject. You will need to have excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills to thrive in this position, so the ability to demonstrate experience of that would be greatly beneficial.

  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS GBP25,614 - GBP41,604

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
