Computer Science Teacher

Are you looking to join a successful ICT faculty to deliver Computer Science at GCSE and A Level?

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a talented and passionate Computer Science teacher to work within one of highly reputable client schools located in the heart of MediaCity UK.

  • Full-time, term time only
  • April or September start for the fitting applicant
  • Salary to reflect MPS/UPS (£23,720 - £39,406)

Due to a staff maternity, the school now has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher of Computer Science to join the schools ICT department from April 2019. The successful Computer Science teacher will be required until the end of the academic year with the potential to continue until April 2020.

At our client school, Computer Science is engaging and practical, encouraging creativity and problem solving. It encourages students to develop their understanding and application of the core concepts in computer science. Students also analyse problems in computational terms and devise creative solutions by designing, writing, testing and evaluating programs. The school works on the OCR GCSE and A Level Computer Science curriculum therefore someone with experience in teaching this curriculum would be desirable.

Our client school is a 14-19 mainstream College, specialising in creative digital media. The school is a smaller than average college with 600 capacity for young people of all abilities. They are a member of the Aldridge Education Multi-Academy Trust and offers to all students specialist learning alongside traditional GCSEs and A Levels, complemented by practical experience, employability skills and a wealth of industry links. Subjects that students are able to study include TV & Film Production, Interactive Media & Gaming, Photography, Graphic Design, Digital Applications and Computer Science.

The school is located near to the famous Media City UK on the outskirts of the Salford Learning Education Authority and is just a short drive from the city centre. The school has excellent public transport links and Metrolink tram stops near by.
