Teacher of ICT/ Computing

Darlington - September - Full time

£100 - £180 per day!

The Assistant Head of an 'Outstanding' Secondary School located within the Darlington area is looking to appoint a Teacher of ICT/ computing to start full time in the new academic year (September 2019). The ICT Department is currently under going staffing changes for the new academic year. The ICT Suites have just been refurbished, and the Department will be ready to hit the ground running! You will be working alongside 3 other experienced and supportive Teachers, including the Head of Department, who also has numerous pastoral responsibilities - you joining the team; this will relieve the stretch Department that has seen a considerable amount of improvement over the last year. The behaviour in the school is described as exemplary, and it's noticed that pupils in school want to learn, and they are fully focused on getting through high school with the predicted grades and more.

The Role:

  • Deliver dynamic and engaging ICT lessons to pupils across Key Stage 3-4
  • Supporting lower achieving pupils in class to ensure grades improve
  • Manage a full time table leading the curriculum, meeting the needs of all pupils through varied teaching and learning strategies.
  • Manage behaviour according to school behaviour policies.
  • Provide after school revision classes
  • For this role you must hold QTS and the right to work in the UK*
