Classroom Support
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
Teaching Personnel are the UKs leading education recruitment agency working with Primary, Secondary and Special Educational Needs Schools across England. The Hull Secondary branch are specifically recruiting on behalf of a secondary school who are seeking a full time cover supervisor.
The school have asked that the successful cover supervisor is available full time and are willing to work across all classes, KS3 - KS4. It is therefore essential that you are a confident individual with a good level of education as you will be required to cover any lesson when the class teacher is absent. It isn't essential that you have experience delivering lessons as a full induction will be given, allowing you to attend a shadow day and be fully competent with the SIMS system.
If you're an aspiring teacher this will be the perfect opportunity for you to gain experience. The role of a cover supervisor isn't the same as a teacher as you wouldn't be required to pre-plan and mark work. You would deliver prepared work left by the class teacher and ensure the students understand the lesson objectives and how to complete each activity. You will then collect the completed work at the end of the lesson and hand it in.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- BSc or BA Hons Degree
- Full time availability
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Confident and outgoing personality
Daily Rate: £60 - £70
Location: Hull
Start Date: ASAP If you're therefore interested in gaining experience within the education sector and wish to be considered as a cover supervisor, please send an up to date CV and covering letter to Sara Baron.
