New teaching opportunity within a diverse department.

  • Full time Teacher of Business and Computer Science required from January 2020
  • Fixed term contract until the end of the academic year
  • Teaching Business and Computer Science  across Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Paid in line with teaching scale point (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490)

This large mixed comprehensive secondary school in Derby are looking for an additional teacher due to a gap in their department until the end of the academic year on a full time basis.

The school is rated by Ofsted as 'Good' and have recently produced strong GCSE results across the board with Business and Computer Science being identified as a key strength. The incoming teacher will be expected to take on full planning and marking responsibilities alongside teaching a full timetable across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.

As a Teacher of Business and Computer Science  joining this friendly and hard working department, the Maths teacher will be expected to take on full planning and marking responsibilities alongside teaching a full timetable across Key Stage 3 and GCSE. The successful candidate will also be expected to support the in class teaching assistants and provide intervention sessions to targeted students. Prospective applicants should hold relevant teaching qualifications and will ideally have experience of teaching both subjects to GCSE level, whilst supporting a range of different learners including Pupil Premium students and pupils with SEN and learning difficulties.

The school is located near central Derby and is close to a number of public transport links including bus routes and local tram stops from neighbouring areas. For candidates with their own transport, the school can also be accessed via the A516 from the surrounding areas.
