Teaching Personnel are looking for a confident and experienced Behaviour Mentor to support pupils in a primary school within the NP10 area. This role is ideal for someone with strong behaviour management skills who can build trust, remain calm under pressure, and provide consistent support to pupils with additional needs.

About the Role:

• Work 1:1 or with small groups of pupils who present challenging behaviour.
• Support pupils with a range of needs, including ADHD, Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and anxiety.
• Help pupils regulate their emotions using de-escalation strategies and clear, consistent boundaries.
• Work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to put personalised behaviour plans in place.
• Encourage positive choices and re-engagement with learning.

Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
• Calm, resilient and able to build positive relationships quickly.
• Confident working independently and following behaviour plans.
• A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Training such as Team Teach or equivalent is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
