Teaching Personnel are seeking an experienced and confident Teaching Assistant to support primary schools in the NP4 area. This role is ideal for someone who has strong experience with ALN/SEN pupils and excellent behaviour management skills.

About the Role:

• Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and global developmental delay.
• Assist the class teacher with delivering tailored learning activities and adapting tasks to support individual needs.
• Use strong behaviour management strategies to support pupils who may display challenging behaviour.
• Help create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment where pupils can thrive.
• Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and emotional regulation.

Requirements:

• Experience supporting ALN/SEN pupils in a school or similar setting.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to follow Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and work closely with teaching staff.
• A patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
• A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
• Relevant training (e.g. Team Teach, Autism Awareness, Moving & Handling) is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
