Pay: £89.38 per day
Start Date: ASAP or January
Teaching Personnel are seeking an experienced and confident Teaching Assistant to support primary schools in the NP4 area. This role is ideal for someone who has strong experience with ALN/SEN pupils and excellent behaviour management skills.
About the Role:
- Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and global developmental delay.
- Assist the class teacher with delivering tailored learning activities and adapting tasks to support individual needs.
- Use strong behaviour management strategies to support pupils who may display challenging behaviour.
- Help create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment where pupils can thrive.
- Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and emotional regulation.
Requirements:
- Experience supporting ALN/SEN pupils in a school or similar setting.
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
- Ability to follow Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and work closely with teaching staff.
- A patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
- A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
- Relevant training (e.g. Team Teach, Autism Awareness, Moving & Handling) is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
