Full-Time & Part-Time | Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
£89.38 per day (£13.75 per hour)

We’re looking for enthusiastic Unqualified Teaching Assistants to join welcoming and supportive primary schools across Newport (NP20). This is the perfect opportunity if you’re passionate about helping children thrive and want to take your first step into the classroom.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum
- Working 1:1 or with small groups of pupils to boost learning and confidence
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
- Supporting children with reading, writing, and numeracy skills
- Assisting with classroom organisation and preparation
- Encouraging children’s social, emotional, and academic development

Who We’re Looking For
- No formal teaching qualifications needed
- Experience working with children (in school or other settings) is highly desirable
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable individuals
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Genuine passion for helping children learn and grow
- Availability during school hours (8:30 AM – 3:30 PM) in Newport

Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (we can help with this)
- Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – support available
- Two recent references covering the last 24 months

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
