The school is seeking a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to support learning across Key Stage 2 and deliver targeted interventions to help pupils reach their full potential.

The Role

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support teaching and learning across KS2 classes, providing classroom cover when needed

• Deliver small-group and one-to-one intervention sessions to raise attainment and confidence

• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation

• Promote independence, engagement, and positive behaviour

• Support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) where required

• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

• Contribute to the wider life of the school, supporting its values and routines

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Caring, patient, and reliable

• Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in KS2

• Experienced in a classroom or school setting (a Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable)

• Confident leading intervention groups or one-to-one sessions

• Adaptable and able to support pupils with a range of learning needs

• Familiar with KS2 curriculum content and effective learning strategies

• Experienced in supporting children with ALN (personal or professional experience valued)

Requirements

• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• References covering the last 24 months

• Previous classroom or childcare experience
