Are you passionate about helping children develop both academically and personally? We’re seeking a caring and dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming, inclusive primary school in the NP20 area. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils at a key stage in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Year 2 pupils across all areas of the curriculum.
• Deliver targeted literacy and numeracy interventions (1:1 and small groups).
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued.
• Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a calm, structured classroom atmosphere.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and SEN specialists to meet pupils’ individual needs.

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• A patient, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to supporting children.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Confidence in managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Previous experience in a primary school setting (desirable but not essential).
• An enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
