Job Title: Experienced SEN / ALN Teaching Assistant
Location: NP16
Contract Type: Full Time / Part Time (Flexible)
Pay: £89.38 per day (dependant on experience)
Start Date: November

Teaching Personnel are seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN / ALN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional learning needs in one of our partner schools in the [AREA] area. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual who is dedicated to helping every child achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

About the Role:

  • Work closely with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Additional Learning Needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties.
  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to help pupils access the curriculum and reach their individual goals.
  • Implement and follow individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, promoting emotional well-being, independence, and confidence.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to deliver consistent and effective support.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children or young people with SEN / ALN.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies and how to support children with additional needs.
  • A valid DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Relevant qualifications in Education, SEN, or Childcare are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
