Do you have experience working in Schools as a tutor?

Would you like to expand your experience by working in different Schools across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire?

We are currently looking for Tutors who are able to work across Nottingham on a one to one and small group basis working with children across KS3 and KS4. The reason why the children may require tuition is due to many reasons which can be school attainment, engagement or needing to be academically challenged.

We are looking for individuals who can deliver cross-curricular subjects including Maths, English, and Science. The location of the Tuition can vary depending on the situation; it can be conducted within a school, neutral venue or within the pupils home.

Ideal candidates for this role will be:

  • Experienced working on a 1:1 basis with pupils either in schools or as a 1:1 tutor outside of the classroom environment
  • Must have experience supporting students with SEMH and challenging behaviour.
  • Experience in planning and delivering cross-curricular subjects including Maths, English and Science
  • Be confident to liaise effectively with the foster carer, schools and other professionals including social workers
  • Able to create engaging, innovative lesson plans to help keep the student motivated as much as possible
  • Be willing to create weekly feedback reports so that progress can be tracked and monitored regularly.
  • Able to be responsible for the safety and welfare of the pupil at all times, in addition to having a strong awareness of Child Protection issues (additional training is desirable but not essential)
