Teaching Personnel are currently working with an alternative provider who are looking to recruit Teaching Assistant who can be an effective role model for a 15 yr old male student.
You would be working on a One to One basis, in small groups & supporting the student through Vocational courses across the East Midlands. Short & long term interventions are provided.
Your role will be to work 1:1 on a personalised timetable for the student and you require a BSL Level 6 qualification.
We are looking for people based in the Nottingham area, specifically in the Hucknall area. You must have a full driving license and be happy to travel between sites - you also must be willing to or have business insurance.
The ideal candidate MUST HAVE:
- At least 2 years of experience
- Full Driving License
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or a Degree related to Education
- Previous experience in an education, youth or residential setting
- Additional CPD such as Autism Awareness, Team Teach or Safeguarding (desired but not essential)
- A nurturing and calming attitude
- Knowledge of Makaton, PECS (Desirable but NOT essential)
