Job description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Subject Lead to drive the strategic direction and development of our Business Department. The successful educator will be responsible for leading a team of passionate educators, designing a rigorous and relevant curriculum, and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the department. Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of business educators, fostering collaboration, professional growth, and a positive working environment.
  • Design and implement a dynamic and engaging curriculum that integrates real-world applications, critical thinking skills, and ethical decision-making.
  • Monitor and assess student progress and outcomes, implementing data-driven strategies to support student achievement and growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to promote interdisciplinary learning opportunities and enhance the overall educational experience for students.
  • Cultivate partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and industry leaders to provide students with authentic learning experiences and opportunities for career exploration.
  • Stay informed of current trends, developments, and best practices in business education, continuously seeking opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics and Qualified Teacher Status
  • Proven experience teaching business courses at the secondary level, with a track record of student achievement and engagement.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and staying current with developments in the field of business education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
