Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Andover, starting September 2024.

Key Details: Start Date: September 2024 Location: Andover, Hampshire ⏰ Full-Time Position Teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 Longer-term position with potential transition to temp-to-perm

What You'll Do:

  • Inspire students with the beauty and complexity of the English language through engaging and interactive lessons.
  • Teach a diverse range of learners at both Key Stage 3 and 4, covering a variety of literary texts, genres, and writing styles.
  • Foster critical thinking and analytical skills in students, helping them develop a deeper understanding of texts and their contexts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the school's English curriculum, incorporating both classic and contemporary literature.
  • Provide support and guidance to students, helping them develop their writing skills, language proficiency, and appreciation for literature.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Qualified English Teachers with experience teaching Key Stage 3 and/or 4.
  • ECTs qualifying this year are encouraged to apply.
  • Unqualified teachers with relevant experience or a passion for English are also welcome to apply.
  • Enthusiastic individuals with a genuine love for literature and language, and a desire to inspire the next generation of readers and writers.
  • Strong communicators with excellent classroom management skills.
