Job description

SEN Support Worker – Agency Basis (Temp to Perm)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Workers to join our team on an agency basis, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent role.

You will work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs, supporting their learning, communication, and social development within a nurturing school environment. Your role will be to assist teachers and therapists in delivering personalised support tailored to each child's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one and group support to pupils with SEN

  • Assisting with implementation of EHCP's

  • Supporting communication and behaviour management strategies

  • Encouraging independence and social skills development

  • Liaising with teaching staff and therapists to ensure consistent care and learning

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential)

  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills

  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different needs

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare

  • Willingness to undertake relevant training and development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
