Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant 

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We are looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly school in Rossendale.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:50 AM – 3:30 PM
Location: Rossendale 
Position: Temporary
Pay: £13.75 per hour

About the Role:
You will be supporting pupils with a variety of needs, including autism spectrum conditions, speech and language difficulties, learning disabilities, social, emotional and mental health challenges, as well as physical and sensory impairments. Your role will be vital in helping these children access their learning and develop their independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting pupils with their learning and personal development

  • Providing personal care where needed with sensitivity and respect

  • Supporting classroom activities to create an inclusive and positive environment

Requirements:

  • Comfortable providing personal care

  • Patient, reliable, and compassionate

  • Experience working with SEN children is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
