Special Needs Teachers required with KS2 experience

Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working closely with a Special Needs school in the Brighton/Hove area.

They are looking to recruit a KS2 teacher on a full time basis. The position would require you to take on full classroom responsibilities. The school is able to be flexible with the curriculum due to the varying needs of the children.

The classes with SEN schools are typically a lot smaller than mainstream schools, so the lessons would be taught to classes of roughly 6-10 pupils. The students at the school mainly have Social Emotional and Mental Health needs.

The Teacher would need to be prepared to deal with challenging behaviour from pupils, with Team Teach being a desirable quality.

You will have a wealth of TA support which is a mixture of whole class TA support as well as 1:1 LSA support for children with more severe needs.
