Celebrating One Year of the CPD Academy

Date posted : 03 November 2025

This week marks one year since the launch of Teaching Personnel’s CPD Academy, and what an incredible year of learning it’s been!

Over the past 12 months, thousands of educators across the country have taken time to invest in their professional development, building new skills, deepening their knowledge, and enhancing the support they provide to pupils every day.

A Year of Growth in Numbers

The impact of the CPD Academy speaks for itself:

  • 63,971 educators have completed training through the platform.
  • A combined total of 31,023 hours of learning - that’s more than 1,290 days of continuous professional development!
  • 66 new courses have been added since launch, covering a wide range of topics to support educators at every stage.
  • Our most popular courses include Early Years, Teaching, Learning and Assessment, Identifying SEND, and Understanding ADHD.

Spotlight: New SLCN Course

We’re especially excited to launch our new course on Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). This comprehensive training helps educators understand what SLCN is, how language develops, the challenges pupils may face in school, and why early identification is so important. From exploring key diagnoses like DLD and speech sound disorders to practical guidance on supporting communication in the classroom, this course is packed with insights for anyone looking to better support pupils with communication needs.

Supporting Educators at Every Stage

The CPD Academy was designed to make high-quality training accessible to every educator, from teaching assistants and cover supervisors to qualified teachers and support staff. With flexible, on-demand courses, it allows professionals to learn at their own pace, wherever they are in their education journey.

Each course is designed to strengthen classroom practice, deepen understanding of pupil needs, and help educators build confidence in their roles.

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate this first milestone, we’re excited to continue expanding the CPD Academy with even more courses and opportunities for growth. A huge thank you to every educator who has taken part so far. Your dedication to continuous learning and improvement is what makes our school communities thrive!

Log in to the CPD Academy to explore the full range of courses and start your next learning journey today.
