Learning Support Assistant – SEN Secondary Schools

Pay: £13.75 per hour
Hours: Flexible – Full-time and Part-time available

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work in SEN secondary schools across Basingstoke. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people with special educational needs and help them thrive both academically and socially.

The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Support students with a range of special educational needs, both one-to-one and in small groups

• Assist teachers with lesson delivery, classroom support, and behaviour management

• Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

• Encourage students’ social, emotional, and academic development

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable but not essential)

• A calm, patient, and positive approach to supporting young people

• An Enhanced DBS on the Child Workforce Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

• The ability to work flexibly and adapt to different secondary school settings
