Learning Support Assistant – SEN Secondary Schools
Location: Basingstoke
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Hours: Flexible – Full-time and Part-time available
Start date: ASAP
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work in SEN secondary schools across Basingstoke. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people with special educational needs and help them thrive both academically and socially.
The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Support students with a range of special educational needs, both one-to-one and in small groups

Assist teachers with lesson delivery, classroom support, and behaviour management
-
Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
-
Encourage students’ social, emotional, and academic development
Requirements:
-
Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable but not essential)

A calm, patient, and positive approach to supporting young people
-
An Enhanced DBS on the Child Workforce Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

The ability to work flexibly and adapt to different secondary school settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
