Teaching Personnel is seeking committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to work across specialist schools in Rhondda Cynon Taf and the surrounding areas. About the Schools

Our partner SEN schools provide education for pupils with a variety of additional learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), ADHD, speech and language needs, and associated behavioural and communication challenges. Each school is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every pupil is encouraged to reach their full potential.

About the Role

• Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Additional Learning Needs (ALN) on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.

• Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver personalised learning and intervention programmes.

• Assist pupils with communication, emotional regulation, sensory needs, and daily routines where required.

• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interactions.

• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment.

• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support each child's individual development.

We're Looking for Someone Who Is:

• Patient, caring, and empathetic, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

• Resilient, adaptable, and able to respond calmly to different situations.

• Confident working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Experienced supporting children or young people with SEN/ALN, either in a school, care, or support setting (desirable but not essential).

• Committed to helping every pupil achieve their individual goals.

Requirements

Teaching Personnel provides guidance and support for obtaining the following:

• Education Workforce Council (EWC) Registration

• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service

• References covering two years of employment
