SEND & SEMH Education Opportunities
Job description
SEND & SEMH Education Opportunities | East Sussex
If you're looking for a rewarding role where you can genuinely make a difference to the lives of young people, I'd love to hear from you.
I'm a Recruitment Consultant with a background in SEND education, working closely with specialist schools across East Sussex to recruit passionate teachers and support staff. Having worked within SEND myself, I understand that finding the right school is just as important as finding the right role.
Whether you're looking for a fresh challenge, considering a move into specialist education, or simply want to explore what's available, I'm currently recruiting across a wide range of SEND and SEMH settings throughout East Sussex.
Opportunities Available
Depending on your experience and interests, opportunities may include:
- SEND & SEMH Teachers
- Teaching Assistants
- Learning Support Assistants
- Behaviour Mentors
- 1:1 Support Roles
- Intervention & Pastoral Support
- Day-to-day, long-term and permanent positions
Across both primary and secondary specialist settings.
What Schools Are Looking For
Every school is different, but they all share one thing in common—they're looking for people who genuinely care.
I'm keen to hear from educators who are:
- Calm, patient and resilient
- Positive role models for young people
- Confident building strong professional relationships
- Adaptable and proactive
- Passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
Previous SEND or SEMH experience is beneficial, but it isn't essential. Many successful educators come from backgrounds in mainstream education, care, coaching, youth work and mentoring.
Why Register?
Working with a range of specialist schools means I can help match you to a setting that genuinely suits your skills, personality and career goals, rather than simply putting you forward for the first vacancy available.
Whether you're looking for flexibility, a long-term position or your next permanent move, I'd be happy to discuss what's available.
Practical Information
- Opportunities across East Sussex
- Immediate and September starts available
- Teaching roles paid to scale
- Teaching Assistant / LSA roles paid at £92.60 per day
- Child-only enhanced DBS on the Update Service required
If you don't currently hold one, you'll need to apply through us. I'll support you throughout the process, though the cost is covered by the applicant.
As part of our safeguarding process, we'll also require references covering a total of 24 months of employment history (where possible), alongside a full employment and education history.
Interested?
If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely make a positive impact while continuing to develop your career, I'd love to hear from you.
Apply today and let's find the right opportunity for you.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
