Behavioural Buddy – SEND School
Location: Brighton & Hove
Travel: Easily accessible by bus
Pay: £360 - £460 per week
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Contract: Temp to Perm
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs?
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming and supportive SEND school in the Brighton & Hove area, who are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join their team as a Behavioural Buddy.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support both primary-aged and SEND pupils, helping them to thrive both academically and socially in a nurturing school environment.
The Role
As a Behavioural Buddy, you will:

Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs.

Work with small groups to encourage engagement and positive behaviour.

Support pupils throughout the school day, including in lessons, between classes, and during school trips and outings.

Build positive relationships with students, helping them develop confidence, independence, and emotional regulation.

Work closely with teachers and the wider support team to create an inclusive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:

Experience supporting children or young people with Autism and/or ADHD.

A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

A genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEND.
-
A Child Only Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
What We Offer

Weekly pay of £360 - £460, depending on experience.

Full-time hours (8:30am - 3:30pm), Monday to Friday.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
