Behavioural Buddy – SEND School

Location: Brighton & Hove
Travel: Easily accessible by bus
Pay: £360 - £460 per week
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Contract: Temp to Perm

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming and supportive SEND school in the Brighton & Hove area, who are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join their team as a Behavioural Buddy.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support both primary-aged and SEND pupils, helping them to thrive both academically and socially in a nurturing school environment.

The Role

As a Behavioural Buddy, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs.

  • Work with small groups to encourage engagement and positive behaviour.

  • Support pupils throughout the school day, including in lessons, between classes, and during school trips and outings.

  • Build positive relationships with students, helping them develop confidence, independence, and emotional regulation.

  • Work closely with teachers and the wider support team to create an inclusive learning environment.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with Autism and/or ADHD.

  • A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEND.

  • A Child Only Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Weekly pay of £360 - £460, depending on experience.

  • Full-time hours (8:30am - 3:30pm), Monday to Friday.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
