Child Buddy – SEND Schools | Brighton & Hove | September Start

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a number of SEND schools across Brighton & Hove and are looking to recruit dedicated and enthusiastic Child Buddies to support pupils with additional needs from September.

This is a rewarding full-time opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

  • Do you have experience supporting children or young people with SEND?

  • Can you use your initiative and adapt to different situations throughout the school day?

Role Details:
Location: Brighton & Hove
Travel: Accessible by bus or car
Pay: £360–£460 per week
Experience: SEND experience preferred
DBS: Child Only Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain one)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent opportunities available
⏰ Hours: 8:30am – 3:50pm, Monday to Friday

As a Child Buddy, you will provide tailored support to primary and secondary-aged pupils with additional needs, helping them to engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
