SEND teacher and Teaching Assistants
Job description
SEND & SEMH Education Opportunities | East Sussex
I'm a Recruitment Consultant with a background in SEND education, working closely with specialist schools across East Sussex, and I'm currently looking to connect with educators who are open to new opportunities.
One of the biggest advantages of working with a range of specialist schools is that every setting is different. Some support pupils with autism and communication needs, others focus on SEMH, whilst many provide highly personalised education for pupils who thrive outside of mainstream environments.
Rather than trying to fit educators into vacancies, I take the time to understand what you're looking for and match you with schools where you're most likely to succeed.
Opportunities Available
Depending on your experience and interests, opportunities may include:
- SEND and SEMH teaching roles
- Teaching Assistant and Learning Support Assistant positions
- Behaviour and engagement support
- 1:1 pupil support
- Classroom and intervention support
- Day-to-day, long-term and permanent opportunities
Across both primary and secondary specialist settings.
Who This Will Suit
I'm keen to hear from people who:
- Enjoy building positive relationships with young people
- Stay calm and professional under pressure
- Want to work within supportive school environments
- Are looking for meaningful work where no two days are the same
SEND experience is welcomed, but many schools are also open to candidates with backgrounds in education, care, coaching, youth work or mentoring.
Practical Information
- Opportunities across East Sussex
- Immediate and September starts available
- Teaching roles paid to scale
- Teaching Assistant / LSA roles paid at £92.60 per day
- Child-only enhanced DBS on the Update Service required
If you don't currently hold one, you'll need to apply through us. We'll guide you through the process, though the cost is covered by the applicant.
As part of safeguarding, we'll also require references covering a total of 24 months employment history where possible, alongside a full employment and education history.
Interested?
Apply today and let's have a conversation about the opportunities currently available.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
