Job description

 Child Companion – SEND School | Brighton & Hove 

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a fantastic SEND School based in Brighton & Hove, who are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Child Companion!

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and wants to make a genuine difference to their day-to-day lives. You’ll be working alongside a welcoming and supportive team of staff within a fantastic SEND school where staff genuinely enjoy working.

As a Child Companion, you will provide valuable support to pupils throughout the school day, helping them feel confident, included and supported. The role will involve building positive relationships with pupils and encouraging them to engage in learning and school activities.

 What we're looking for:

  • Patience, positivity and enthusiasm

  • A caring and supportive approach

  • Someone who can build strong relationships with children

  • A positive role model who can encourage and motivate pupils

  • An interest in working within a SEND environment

  • Previous experience with children or SEND is desirable but not essential

Position: Child Companion
Contract: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Start: September
School: Fantastic SEND School
Experience: SEND/childcare experience desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
