Teaching Personnel is delighted to be recruiting for exciting Mini Mate opportunities across some of our most sought-after SEND provisions.
These are highly valued roles within our schools, with SEND provisions particularly keen to welcome positive, dependable and inspiring individuals who can start ASAP and make a genuine difference to the pupils they support.
As a Mini Mate, you’ll be much more than a classroom support assistant. You’ll be someone pupils can look up to, trust and learn from — a positive role model who brings energy, encouragement and consistency to their school day.
Area: Brighton
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Pay: £92.63 per day
Setting: SEND School
Start Date: ASAP
DBS: Child Workforce DBS required
What Is a Mini Mate?
A Mini Mate is a positive influence, trusted companion and strong role model for pupils within a SEND setting.
You’ll help pupils feel confident, included and supported, while encouraging them to engage with learning and develop their independence.
The pupils you work with will benefit from having someone around who is reliable, enthusiastic and genuinely invested in helping them succeed.
This role is ideal for someone who naturally brings positivity into a room, leads by example and wants to become a person that pupils can genuinely look up to.

Experience working within SEND, education, youth work, care, mentoring or support roles would be highly valuable.
However, personality is just as important. We’re looking for people who genuinely want to make a difference and understand the importance of being a consistent, positive presence in a pupil’s life.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
