Job description

 Child Tutor – SEND School | Brighton & Hove 

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a fantastic SEND School based in Brighton & Hove, who are looking for a positive, enthusiastic and encouraging individual to join their team as a Child Tutor!

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and wants to make a genuine difference to their confidence and progress within education.

As a Child Tutor, you will work closely with SEND pupils on both a 1:1 and small-group basis. Your main focus will be to build strong relationships and rapport with pupils, creating a positive and supportive environment where they feel comfortable, valued and confident within their lessons.

The ideal Child Tutor will:

  • Be a positive, patient and encouraging individual

  • Have a natural ability to build strong relationships with young people

  • Be enthusiastic and able to spread positivity and encouragement

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis

  • Help pupils feel rewarded, confident and motivated within lessons

  • Be passionate about supporting children with SEND

  • Act as a strong and positive role model

 Role Details:

Location: Brighton & Hove
Position: Child Tutor
Contract: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Start: September
Experience: SEND/education experience desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
