SEN Teaching Assistant- Key Stage 1- Tameside

Teaching Personnel are working alongside this smaller than average primary school to appoint a SEN Teaching assistant to support students throughout Key Stage 1. The school is based in Tameside (SK15) and has a very supportive culture, making this a great opportunity for the right teaching assistant.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within this primary school in Tameside. Students in this school make great progress. They learn well due to good teaching across all key stages. The students are well behaved and love coming to school, which makes the school a lovely environment to work in. Teachers and teaching assistants are passionate about their roles; they interact well with all pupils across the school.

The school promotes an inclusive environment and the SEN department is supportive for both staff and students. SEN students have access to specialized resources, 1:1 teaching assistants and SEN plans where needed. Each child's education is planned by the class teacher. It is differentiated according to the pupil's individual needs. This may include additional general support by the teaching assistants in the class. Interventions are delivered for SEN children to give the students extra support and will be regularly reviewed.

The successful teaching assistant will be working with children in Key Stage 1 on a 1:1 and small group basis. They will be delivering interventions and helping with phonics sessions.
