Specialist SEN Teacher – Inspire and Support
Full-time | September Start | 11–14 | 8.30am to 4.30pm
About the School
A forward-thinking specialist setting in Somerset supports secondary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, SEMH and learning difficulties.
The school provides a structured, nurturing environment where routines, consistency and positive relationships are key to success.
Staff work closely together to ensure pupils feel safe, understood and ready to learn.
Your Role
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across the curriculum
- Support both academic progress and emotional development
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse and complex needs
- Track progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and reporting
- Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists and families
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Minimum 6 months’ experience working with children, ideally within SEN
- Strong behaviour management and a calm, consistent approach
- Ability to build positive relationships and motivate learners
- Commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
