History Teacher – Secondary School – Yeovil
Start Date: September

Are you a passionate and inspiring History Teacher looking for your next opportunity?

A successful secondary school in Yeovil is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic History Teacher to join their team from September. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about bringing the past to life and inspiring students to develop a love of history.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons, encouraging students to explore historical events, develop critical thinking skills, and achieve their full potential.

The role includes:

  • Teaching History across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with Key Stage 5 experience desirable)

  • Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons

  • Developing students’ understanding of historical events, concepts, and interpretations

  • Supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes

  • Contributing to the wider life and values of the school

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an enthusiastic and committed History practitioner

  • Has a passion for inspiring curiosity and independent thinking

  • Can engage and motivate students of all abilities

  • Builds positive relationships with pupils and colleagues

  • Is keen to contribute to a supportive and successful Humanities department

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
