SEND Teacher – Permanent Role
Location: Lancashire
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
An award-winning and highly reputable group of Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools is seeking a passionate and skilled SEND Teacher to join the dedicated team at one of its Lancashire schools. This is a rare opportunity to secure a permanent teaching position within a well-established, supportive, and forward-thinking educational environment.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, tailored teaching to pupils with a range of special educational needs, working closely with skilled support staff, therapy teams, and senior leaders to ensure each learner reaches their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs and EHCP outcomes.

Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where pupils can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, support staff, and families.

Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse needs.

Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and community engagement.
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Proven experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally within a specialist or inclusive setting.

Strong knowledge of SEN best practice, including strategies for autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other additional needs.

Excellent behaviour management skills, with a positive, proactive, and patient approach.

Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
