SEN Learning Support Assistant in Waterlooville

  • Good incentives
  • Team Teach training offered
  • Excellent rates of pay

Are you a teaching assistant who has worked with SEN children looking for an exciting opportunity to build on your skills and gain more experience?

Do you have experience in caring for children/adults in a care setting?

If so, then we have the perfect opportunity for you! Teaching Personnel are currently looking for an SEN TA to work at a school we work closely with in the Waterlooville area. The school caters for primary and secondary aged students who have a range of needs such as autism and asperger's syndrome. The school is very well managed and is rated as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, but it does have its challenges due to the range of SEN students, making this a physically and mentally challenging role.

You will be expected to work within a small class usually numbering between 4 to 5 students. Each class has a teacher and 2 to 3 teaching assistants, enabling all pupils to receive the appropriate amount of care and support.

The successful SEN teaching assistant must:

• Be pro active and be able to engage students

• Be patient and can be a positive role model for children

• Be able to use positive reinforcement when supporting behaviour difficulties

• Have great references

• Have a DBS or be willing to apply for one

• Be from Southampton or be able to commute there

What we at Teaching Personnel can offer in return:

• Excellent rates of pay

• Weekly pay

• A dedicated consultant

• Ongoing CPD and training

• Cash rewards for referrals

If you fit the above criteria, please send your updated CV to Sammy Carpenter (Hampshire SEN Consultant) at samantha.carpenter@teachingpersonnel.com or give me a ring on 02380 836648
