Science Technician – Walsall – Immediate Start

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our secondary school in Walsall, starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy, hands-on environment and supporting students’ learning in Science.

The Role:

• Preparing and setting up practical experiments and equipment for Science lessons

• Maintaining laboratories, ensuring resources are available, safe and well-organised

• Assisting teachers with demonstrations and practical support during lessons when required

• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times

• Supporting the wider Science department with stock control, ordering equipment and general administrative tasks

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience as a Science Technician in a school setting is highly desirable

• Strong knowledge of safe lab practices and handling scientific equipment

• Good organisational skills and attention to detail

• A proactive and flexible approach to working in a team

This is a school-based role with an immediate start. The successful candidate will be joining a friendly and supportive Science department dedicated to helping students achieve their best.
