Qualified Science Teacher

Location: Wolverhampton, Secondary School 

Start Date: Autumn Term 2025 (ASAP) 

Salary: MPS/ UPS (dependent on experience) 


 

About the role: 

Teaching Personnel are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in the Wolverhampton area. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and contribute to a thriving Science department.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love of learning and curiosity in the subject. Strong classroom presence and excellent behaviour management skills are essential to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.

Role Responsibilites: 

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Science lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Use effective differentiation strategies to support all learners

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a safe and focused environment

  • Assess, record and report on student progress

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider aims of the department and school

Role Requirements: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Proven experience teaching Science at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • A DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • A passion for inspiring young people and promoting achievement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
