Qualified Teacher of Science

Location: Wolverhampton, Secondary School 

Start Date: Autumn Term 2025 

Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) 


 

About the role:

Here at  Teaching Personnel we are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Qualified Science Teacher (QTS required) to join secondary schools across Wolverhampton. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inspiring science lessons that foster curiosity, promote achievement and support the development of every learner.

Key Responsibilites: 

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality science lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and progress.

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management to maintain a positive and focused learning atmosphere.

  • Assess, record and report on pupil progress in line with school policies.

  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in departmental meetings, parent evenings and enrichment activities.

Key Requirements: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

  • A strong subject knowledge in science (biology, chemistry or physics).

  • Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities.

  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

  • DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) 
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
