Job description

Qualified Science Teacher

Location: Wolverhampton, Secondary Schools

Start Date: Autumn Term 2025 

Salary: MPS/ UPS (dependent on experience) 


 

About the role: 

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Science Teacher to join one of our partner schools in the Wolverhampton area. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to delivering high-quality science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Role Responsbilites: 

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in Science (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics depending on specialism).

  • Plan, prepare, and assess students’ work in line with curriculum requirements.

  • Support students of varying abilities, ensuring that all learners make progress.

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policy.

  • Contribute to the wider Science department, attending meetings and participating in planning.

  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to pupils, parents and colleagues.

Role Requirements: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Strong subject knowledge in Science and the ability to teach across KS3–KS4.

  • Previous UK teaching experience is highly desirable.

  • A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
