Job description

Job Title: Primary Tutor

Location: East of England, Essex, Corringham

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

The Primary SEN Tutor will be responsible for providing tailored educational support to students with special educational needs. Duties include creating individualised learning plans, delivering lessons in line with the national curriculum, assessing student progress, and liaising with parents and school staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

Required Qualifications:

  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Specialist knowledge and experience working with students with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs

Education:

A degree in Education or a related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a SEN tutor or in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of special educational needs frameworks and legislation
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance learning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional qualifications in special education or SENCO certification
  • Experience working in a mainstream school setting

Working Conditions:

The Primary SEN Tutor will work part-time hours on a temporary basis, providing support to students at their home or a local venue. The role may involve some travel between different locations within the East of England.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
